De stichting is opgericht in mei 2016. Jasmijn Knaapen, Michel Knaapen en Petra van den Akker vormen het bestuur. Met de ondersteuning van Mac Kiyimba als vertegenwoordiger van KICVOP Uganda proberen zij de projecten in Oeganda te helpen financieren.
Stichting Kicvop Nederland helpt op dit moment mee aan de bouw van een toekomstbestendige school in Kazo.
